Fall is officially here, and that means it’s time to embrace all things warm, cozy, comforting and BASIC. And what could be more comforting than a delicious apple crisp, fresh from the oven? But let’s be real, baking a whole apple crisp can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you’re just cooking for yourself. Who needs the temptation of a whole dish of warm, gooey deliciousness sitting on the counter? Not me!
That’s why I’ve perfected the art of the single-serving protein apple crisp. It’s the perfect way to enjoy all the flavors of fall without the hassle of leftovers (or the extra calories!). This little recipe is my go-to for a quick and satisfying breakfast or a healthy dessert that won’t leave me feeling sluggish.
This single-serving protein apple crisp is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients to keep you feeling full and energized. The added protein helps to stabilize blood sugar levels and prevent those mid-morning or afternoon crashes.
And let’s talk about toppings! A scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of Greek yogurt takes this apple crisp to the next level of deliciousness. A drizzle of nut/seed butter is also a nice touch esp for breakfast.
So this fall, ditch the oversized baking dish and embrace the simplicity of the single-serving protein apple crisp. It’s a quick, easy, and delicious way to enjoy all the flavors of the season without the temptation of leftovers. Trust me, your taste buds (and your energy levels) will thank you!
