Craving cookie dough but not looking to overload on carbs? This cookie dough is for you.
You just stir together a few tablespoons of a few ingredients and voila, edible protein cookie dough. Zero prep required, it’s flourless!
You don’t have to buy expensive jars of “healthy” protein cookie dough from stores with sneaky preservatives or emulsifiers to mess with your gut and metabolism with.
Just make sure to choose a protein you like the flavor of. Although the real maple syrup in the recipe more than makes up for any lacking or artificial flavor from protein powders.
Also make sure you’re not sensitive to the protein since most powders have plenty of additives to make them taste good.
I’ve tried this recipe with whey and vegan proteins and it always works beautifully. Note that you might need to adjust the amount of protein or liquid you use for vegan powders.
You can just spoon the cookie dough, eat it as a snack or do what I do and chop it up into squares to top your ice cream or yogurt bowls with. It’s also great chopped small as ice-cream mix-ins, think Ninja Creami pints, yum!
Let me know if you give this one a try!
