Easy, no-bake, full of flavor and nutrition from tahini, coconut and energy from dates.
This recipe was inspired by (too soft a word choice there, it’s basically her recipe) one of my lovely momma friends. She said she took a recipe online and replaced oats with protein powder, which totally sounded like something I would do š
We had such a good time that day, on a rare occasion while the kids magically kept to themselves. I had some green tea while enjoying these and that was bliss š„³
So I got her recipe and made it for you! Except it called for 1 tbsp tahini and Iām like THATāS NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH TAHINI so here you go š
You can use any other creamy nut/seed butter instead.

Tahini Coconut Protein Energy Balls
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soft medjool dates, pitted (40 g) about 2 large
- 1/4 cup tahini (56 g) sub other creamy nut/seed butter
- 3/4 cup desiccated coconut (75 g) you can sub quick oats
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (12 g)
- 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup (32 g)
- 1/4 cup protein powder (30 g) plant-based if desired, you can also sub oat flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Blend everything in a food processor until combined. It should be like cookie dough. If too wet, add more protein powder, too dry, add 1 tsp water at a time until combined.
- Roll up walnut sized balls between your palms. (Optional) roll in cocoa powder or more coconut.
- Keep refrigerated and enjoy!
